The Dr Benjamin Angel Foundation

The Dr Benjamin Angel Foundation was established in 2006 in memory of Dr Benjamin Angel z"l.  The Foundation supports a range of educational, medical and other charitable causes where its contributions can make a real difference.  In particular, the Foundation undertakes charitable projects in the Jewish community, in Israel and in the medical field of which we believe Benjamin would have been proud.

In its first four years of operation the Foundation has amongst a range of other things:

Supported the establishment of a Senior Lectureship in the area of research into Cystic Fibrosis at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London

Sponsored The Learning Centre at Stanmore

Provided vital financial assistance to families in Israel that have been the victims of terrorism

Endowed a Computer Room at Hazon Yeshaya Soup Kitchens in Jerusalem

Sponsored the publication of a booklet, 'What Will You Do?', encouraging the community to make a difference to the lives of others

Co-sponsored Project Chesed  - a project of the United Synagogue designed to encourage the community to engage in acts of kindness and charity

Become a Patron of WIZO

Made substantial contributions to aid operations in Ethiopia, Haiti, Cambodia and elsewhere
